Star Seeker Solstice Luxury Camp

At one of the highest points of Open Sky, Star Seeker Solstice Luxury Camp takes its name from a celestial moment when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky, marking the longest and shortest days of the year. Perched high on the mesa, the camp offers a fitting vantage point for experiencing the natural rhythms of the desert from sweeping views below to an uninterrupted night sky overhead.

Looking toward the peaks of Zion National Park’s West Temple, Star Seeker Solstice offers a perspective unlike any other camp on the property. Expansive views stretch across the surrounding high desert, inviting guests to follow the changing light from sunrise through sunset before the stars take their place overhead.

Designed around Open Sky’s signature stargazing experience, Star Seeker Solstice invites guests to look up in more ways than one. The dedicated stargazing alcove features a king-size bed beneath a clear ceiling, while a telescope offers a closer look at the constellations above. Outside, a suspended stargazing hammock creates another memorable place to take in the view, equally suited to stargazing, sun soaking, cloud watching, or an unhurried afternoon nap.

The expansive patio makes the most of Solstice's elevated setting. A private cedar hot tub offers a warm place to unwind beneath the stars, while the outdoor living space provides room to linger over morning coffee or watch the desert change color as the day gives way to evening. A gas fire pit area offers another inviting space to gather, share stories, and make s'mores beneath the open sky. A seasonal outdoor shower brings another layer of connection to the landscape.

Inside, warm textures and thoughtful details create a comfortable retreat after a day exploring Zion. An interior fireplace adds a cozy focal point for cool desert evenings, while heating and air conditioning provide comfort year-round. Two king-size beds – one in the stargazing alcove and another in the main living space –  accommodate up to four guests with a privacy curtain separating the two sleeping areas.

The ensuite bathroom features a copper soaking tub, double-headed shower, and heated floors. A kitchenette space includes a small refrigerator and microwave, providing convenience for drinks and snacks during your stay.

Star Seeker Solstice is accessed by a short but steep gravel driveway leading up the mesa. From the private parking area, a series of steps leads to the camp entrance. The elevated location is part of what makes this setting so distinctive.
