Each camp offers its own character, setting, layout and collection of amenities, along with standard resort amenities. Luxury camps can serve as great spaces for intimate escapes designed for two or spacious camps made for families and friends. Open Sky is not your ordinary campground. Each luxury camp is designed with the comforts of a well-appointed retreat, surrounded by the beauty of the desert.
Across the resort, you’ll find thoughtful essentials including Wi-Fi, heating and air conditioning, electricity, daily Spruce-Up Service, a private bathroom with heated floors, gas fireplace, refrigerator, microwave, luxurious bedding and linens, plush bath towels, robes and slippers. A complimentary Grab-N-Go Breakfast is also included with your stay, along with the little details that make settling into camp feel effortless.

Yes. Comfort is part of the experience at Open Sky, in every season.
Each luxury camp is constructed with high-quality insulated canvas and equipped with a mini-split system for both heating and air conditioning, allowing you to settle in comfortably whether the desert is warm by day or cool beneath the stars. An indoor gas fireplace adds another layer of warmth and ambiance, while radiant-heated bathroom floors provide an especially welcome touch during the cooler months.
At Open Sky, your accommodation extends well beyond the walls of your tent. Each luxury camp is part of its own private outdoor setting, with features that may include a patio, fire pit, outdoor shower and other spaces designed for lingering beneath the desert sky. Camps are thoughtfully positioned throughout the landscape to provide a sense of privacy and separation, allowing you to settle into a slower rhythm and feel a world away from everyday life.
The Star Seeker Polaris is the exclusive luxury camp at Open Sky with a private swimming pool. Its custom-designed 16-foot pool and adjoining hot tub are crafted from a repurposed shipping container and feature a dual-sided horizon edge that visually dissolves into the surrounding landscape. The effect is deliberately immersive, creating a place where water, desert and sky seem to meet.
Luxury camps with hot tubs include: Star Seeker Vista, Star Seeker Solstice, Star Seeker Horizon, and Star Seeker Polaris (which also includes a pool). Each offers its own perspective on the surrounding landscape, making a soak especially inviting after a day of exploring Greater Zion, or beneath a canopy of stars when the desert sky takes center stage.
Yes. With a variety of layouts and configurations, Open Sky offers accommodations for everything from a romantic escape for two to family getaways and gatherings with friends.
King-size beds are featured throughout the resort’s accommodations. With Juniper Berry and Juniper Cove camps including Twin XL bunk beds, making them particularly well suited to families.
For groups, multiple luxury camps can be reserved together, giving everyone a private place to retreat while gathering for dinner at Black Sage, guided adventures, evenings around the fire, and time spent exploring the property together.
Occupancy varies by camp and layout. Some accommodations are designed as intimate retreats for two, while others comfortably accommodate families or small groups, with select camps sleeping up to five guests. Explore the individual camp pages for occupancy, bed configurations and amenities specific to each accommodation.
Luxury camps are reserved by type, which you’ll select during the booking process. For camp types with multiple accommodations – such as a Desert Rose or Milky Way – you’re welcome to contact our Reservations Team to request a specific camp. See the resort map (below) for the location of each specific camp. Our team will always do its best to accommodate your preference.
Open Sky is designed to give guests a strong sense of privacy while still creating a connected resort experience. Camps are thoughtfully positioned throughout the 80-acre property, with natural space between accommodations and views that open toward the surrounding landscape. You may know you're part of a resort, but your camp is designed to feel like your own private retreat.
Yes. Our daily Spruce-Up Service is designed to keep your camp feeling fresh and welcoming throughout your stay.
Our team visits each luxury camp before 2 p.m., unless you choose otherwise by placing your Spruce-Up card in the “Do Not Disturb” position. Service includes tidying the camp, making the beds, emptying trash, washing dirty dishes, cleaning the bathroom, replacing towels left on the floor and replenishing essentials such as coffee, tea, bottled water and bathroom amenities. (Robes are not replaced daily.)
Open Sky is a pet-free resort, allowing us to preserve the peaceful, immersive atmosphere that makes a stay here so distinctive. While we certainly love our four-legged friends, keeping the property pet-free helps ensure all guests can fully settle into the quiet of the landscape and surrounding nature.
Certified service animals are welcome and must remain leashed whenever outside your luxury camp.
